GIS4BUSINESS Selected as Pioneering Business
November 6, 2017
In the prestigious Pioneer 10 initiative operated by Oxford Innovation and sponsored by Harborough District Council, local geographic information company GIS4BUSINESS has been selected as one of the top 10 pioneering companies in the district. The contest included the submission of business plans and growth aspirations along with presentations to a panel of judges.
The Pioneer 10 judges were impressed with the commitment shown by GIS4BUSINESS to making a positive impact on businesses. The company’s expertise shows how mapping and geographical information can be used to deliver a range of productivity, efficiency and resource optimisation benefits to different organisations, including utilities, transportation, environmental and local government. GIS4BUSINESS develops and tailors multi-platform solutions to a client’s logistic, mobile workforce and asset management needs to facilitate improved decision-making.
“We are confident that the mentoring and marketing support provided to us as a result of being one of the Pioneer 10 winners will aid GIS4BUSINESS in developing a highly effective marketing strategy,” says Technical Director John Fannon. “We also anticipate that the business advice on tap from experts on the Pioneer 10 judging panel and the Oxford Innovation outreach team will allow us to accelerate our core product development and service offerings over the coming months.”
Pioneer 10 is a new business award and growth coaching programme for entrepreneurs across the Harborough district. It is open to start-ups and ambitious SMEs. The Pioneer 10 programme was originally the Spark Business Awards, a support initiative that has helped over 4,000 businesses, many of which have achieved outstanding results.
